Hi there, I'm Zhen.

I found the happiness from drawing as a kid, and since then my passion for telling stories through pictures has only grown. In 2012, I moved to the US to focus more heavily on the study of art. I attended the Academy of Art University and graduated with a B.F.A in illustration. I loves nature, animals and people, and I am also fond of good movies and traveling. I’m currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Hi there! I’m Zhen (pronounced Z-ehn).

I’m an illustrator and concept artist who loves capturing small, meaningful moments from everyday life. My work spans children’s publishing, animation, and advertising. I’ve created illustrations and concept art for clients including Penguin Random House, Scholastic, Macmillan, Hasbro, MTH Studio (with projects for Amazon Kids and BBC Kids), and others. I’m passionate about visual storytelling and creating images that feel warm, expressive, and emotionally grounded.

Outside of illustration, I’m inspired by nature, animals, and travel—experiences that continually shape my work. I’m currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
